Dear Mr Burt,
I am writing to you because Team 4 really want to grow a native tree or bush around our school like Harakeke, the kowhai tree and Manuka. If we grow these native trees and bushes we have to take good care of it. I chose these native bushes and trees because if we grow harakeke we can weave flax.
We can also make honey with Manuka and with the Kowhai tree we can provide shade and shelter and provide homes for birds and insects. The native trees will also help purify the atmosphere. Photos are below. These are the places I thought we could grow the trees and bushes.
Kind regards,
Levonah

I'm excited for all the honey you're going to make Levonah. Who will be the bee keeper? Do you think we could convince Mr Moran to do it?
ReplyDeleteWe definitely need some more trees around the place, it gets so hot in summer. Perhaps we could plant some trees that could be good for climbing or building tree houses - I think that would be fun.
